Risks and side effects
Common and temporary: swelling, bruising, tenderness and small lumps that settle as the product integrates. Less common: prolonged swelling, asymmetry, or a nodule requiring review. Rare but serious: infection, or vascular occlusion — filler entering a blood vessel. This is why we treat only with clinicians trained in recognising and managing it, with dissolving agent held on site.
Lip filler is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with active cold sores or infection in the lip area. Aftercare guidance is on our aftercare page.
All treatments at aekho are carried out by our trained practitioners under doctor-led medical direction, with full medical indemnity cover. All prescription treatments are prescribed by Dr Ahsan Qaisar. We do not treat anyone under 18.
